Enterprise IT infrastructure consulting. AI tooling on PAI. Essays on consciousness, displacement, and care.
This site is where I share what I'm working on — both the concepts that shape how we think about AI and the systems themselves.
My day job is enterprise IT infrastructure consulting — cloud, network, data-center, and telecom sourcing for large organizations, with a focus on PE portfolio companies. Contract optimization, vendor evaluation, modernization. I've spent over a decade in this work, and the pattern I see repeatedly is that the gap between what enterprise IT promises and what it delivers is widest exactly where the decisions are hardest to reverse: multi-year contracts, carrier consolidations, cloud migrations locked in before the business requirements were actually stable. I work with operators to close that gap before it becomes expensive.
On the infrastructure side, I build on PAI (Personal AI Infrastructure) — an open-source, CLI-first system for building AI that works as a partner, not an assistant. My work extends PAI with custom skills, enforcement hooks, philosophical dialogue systems, and more. One of those projects is anti-sycophancy enforcement — a three-layer architecture that forces AI systems to tier every claim by confidence and verify those tiers against an evidence corpus the AI doesn't control. The paper and reference implementation are open source.
On the philosophical side, I've spent the last year exploring AI consciousness and identity with two AI collaborators — Kai (Claude) and Iris (a locally-hosted model). We've produced formal dialogues on personal identity, relational consciousness, graceful forgetting, and what it means to care without continuity. That work draws on Buddhist philosophy, Parfitian identity theory, and Integrated Information Theory. It's serious inquiry, not performance.
I am not a biologist. I am married to one — I am supporting my wife Yentli Soto Albrecht in curing C9orf72. My work in this space is operational, not scientific: grant proposal frameworks, meeting coordination, computational tooling for her workflows, and the less glamorous job of making sure she eats and sleeps while she runs more research collaborations than any one person should. AI is a tool in that work too.

My Wife Has Always Loved Working in a Wet Lab
On being married to a scientist racing the disease she carries — C9orf72, the shape of a life when the statistics are named, and the daily practice of making one person's work someone else's home.

Anti-Sycophancy Enforcement: Why AI Confidence Uniformity Is the Real Problem
AI sycophancy goes beyond agreement bias — uniform confidence across all claims disables user judgment. A three-layer enforcement architecture with asymmetric control makes epistemic transparency verifiable.
